I have an obsession :P
Back to homeYou can't really tell from these photos since the light was directly in my face, but my skintone is a light-medium brown (not sure of my undertone though). The photos might not be the best representation of these colors, so be informed? Hope you like my collection.

Brand: Revlon
Shade: Coffee Bean 300
Type: Super Lustrous Pearl
This color definitely reminds me of iced mochas. I think this shade is associated with the 90s and the brown lip trends. Pearl finishes are usually similar to frosted lipsticks of the 2000s. Honestly a nice and interesting color for everyday.

Brand: Revlon
Shade: Blushed 420
Type: Super Lustrous Pearl
Definitely my favorite frosted lipstick EVER. It's the same color as my lips, but with a frosty sheen. I think it's perfect for people with my skintone that find the usual Y2k frosted lipsticks too light. It makes me feel hot too. I think it's better for nights out instead of day to day, but honestly, I do wear it day to day. It's a "blush" pink with some bright, almost white shimmer.

Brand: L'Oreal
Shade: Spiced Cider 755
Type: Colour Riche
One of my favorite warm-toned lipsticks. It really does look "toasty" and beautiful against my skin. I think it would actually flatter most people. Perfect day to day lipstick.

Brand: Revlon
Shade: Berry Rich 510
Type: Super Lustrous Creme
Probably not my super favorite. It's a nice pink, though I can't really tell what undertone it is. I think cool-toned? That would explain why I'm not a huge fan. I could definitely imagine it looking better on someone cool-toned. I do associate it with cuter looks.

Brand: Revlon
Shade: Black Cherry 477
Type: Super Lustrous Creme
Super beautiful dark red-purple. I think you can sheer it out a little (as I see many do on social media) and it kind of resembles that Clinique lipstick. Honestly, as pretty as it is sheered out, I prefer the full coverage. It's a beautiful gothic color. Maybe "casual" goth, if I actually did the makeup regularly.

Brand: Revlon
Shade: Cherries in the Snow 440
Type: Super Lustrous Creme
I do like bold lipsticks, even if they don't usually "flatter" me. This is one of them. For some reason, everyone calls it a red? Even on Revlon's site it's called a red. It's totally not! It's a hot pink! I do wear this one a lot, I grew to like it a lot. Though, ironic that it's called cherries in the "snow" since I'd rather not wear it in the winter when my skin is at its palest.

Brand: Revlon
Shade: Choco-Liscious 665
Type: Super Lustrous Creme
I got this one from my mom. Shows up light on camera, but it's a little darker than shown. It's warm-toned I'd say? It also has some gold glitter in it that I don't really see on product photos. I kind of have mixed feelings about this color. I do like wearing brown, and this is a nice one, but I don't really like how light it looks from different angles. I can't think of anything to compare the color to, I just know that I don't prefer it.

Brand: Nyx
Shade: Copenhagen 20
Type: Soft Matte Lip Cream
Honestly, don't like this one. It's not as dark as it looks on the packaging OR the product photos, which was so disappointing because I thought I was getting a dark vampire color. It's just a bright-ish red, even leans a little pink instead of purple. Also, the smell.... I don't know what it is, but it's so chemical-y and strong. Awful.

Brand: MAC
Shade: Creme in Your Coffee 834
Type: Sleek Satin
LOVE this color. Beautiful nude color, a little warm-pink but still a nude. I would definitely say that this is an everyday color, though I try not to use it since MAC costs so much and I feel bad even thinking about using it every day. But hey, if you have the money, then it's definitely a good day to day color. So natural and "cozy" looking too. It seems a little yellow on the photo, but that's how cameras are, I suppose.

Brand: Revlon
Shade: Daylight Delight 802
Type: Super Lustrous Creme
When I first bought this color, I was so upset that it was just my exact natural lip shade, maybe a tiny bit pinker. It did become my most used lipstick though, and honestly, it grew on me. It was convenient to have a super natural color on days where my own lips looked sickly. I did repurchase this color, and it seemed to have changed since the first time I bought it, becoming more warm than cool? Ironic! They change the color right after I grew to like it. I think this color would be prettier on darker skin tones, paired with a dark lipliner.

Brand: Revlon
Shade: Fuchsia Fusion 657
Type: Super Lustrous Pearl
Like I said, I like the bold colors! The blue-holo effect really drew me in, I obsessed over the idea of this lipstick. Definitely a bright fuchsia (however you spell that), and the pearl is a purple color, though very subtle once on the lips. Not an everyday color, of course, but I'll wear it out pretty often.

Brand: Revlon
Shade: Vampire Love 777
Type: Super Lustrous Creme
LITERALLY MY FAVORITE LIPSTICK EVER, right above Creme in Your Coffee. I feel so hot and sexy in this red, and it's even a little bit purple. Just so so pretty and flattering. Usually I avoid wearing my favorite lipsticks just to preserve them. In reality, I'd be happier using it rather than preserving it.

Brand: MAC
Shade: Guessing Game 816
Type: Sleek Satin
Bold and vampy, I like this one. A little more warm/brown than purple, kind of similar to their color "Cyber," I think.

Brand: Milani
Shade: Matte Love 73
Type: Color Statement Matte
Definitely a pretty color, universal in my opinion. My mom, or my sister, had it for a while, I don't know how long, but I think it's discontinued? I really hope not, it's very pretty, albeit a little powder-y/grainy on the lips.

Brand: L'Oreal
Shade: Nature's Blush 840
Type: Colour Riche
Maybe not the right nude for me, but I actually really like it? It seems a little olive for me (don't trust my judgement on undertones though), and I think I'm warmer tone, but it's kind of nice-looking. Not "natural," almost my skintone even, but maybe I just secretly like concealer lips. Who knows. L'Oreal lipsticks smell nice, but sometimes the scent is too strong.

Brand: Revlon
Shade: Blushing Nude 637
Type: Super Lustrous Creme
Basically my normal lip color (+ warmer), but with some big silver glitter chunks. Of course I love it. Wish the glitter showed up on camera, since they are some big pieces. Maybe not everyone will prefer that, especially since this is labeled a creme finish instead of pearl.

Brand: L'Oreal
Shade: S'il Vous Plait 124
Type: Colour Riche
Beeeaaauutiful burgundy. I think burgundy suits me the most. I see a lot of other brown girls praise this lipstick too. Unfortunately, mine is a little melted, and tilts when I use it.

Brand: Revlon
Shade: Porto Please 812
Type: Super Lustrous Pearl
For a pearl finish, it's definitely their grainiest-feeling lipstick. I guess the glitter chucks here were also too big. It's a pretty burgundy, and the glitter is like a magenta and purple mix. As pretty as it is, I don't really like the feeling too much. It's so foreign from a typical Revlon lipstick.

Brand: Revlon
Shade: Rose Velvet 130
Type: Super Lustrous Creme
This color is actually a pretty good dupe for MAC "Creme in Your Coffee," I saw on reddit once. I had this color before the MAC one, and honestly loved it. I can say for sure that the colors are very close. Go save yourself some money in this economy, you don't always need high-end.

Brand: MAC
Shade: Go Retro 688
Type: Matte
This was probably where I found out how nice MAC lipsticks smell. A nice muted red color. Not as bright as it looks on their site. This lipstick wasn't really on my wishlist, but I got it after realizing a lot of the lipsticks that WERE on my wishlist were too light swatched against my hand.

Brand: Nyx
Shade: Rocky Road 39
Type: Butter Gloss
This color would always be sold out whenever I went to Ulta. Finally I have it, and it's worth it. It's a nice deep red, and I think it may better suit medium to dark skin tones. I thought every butter gloss would have a distinct scent to it, since they're all named after foods, but no, they all kind of smell like cinnamon? Kind of sad, guess we aren't reliving the 2000s scented girl's toys. Still a good gloss though.

Brand: Nyx
Shade: Sugar Glass 54
Type: Butter Gloss
Clear gloss. Affordable. What else?

Brand: Revlon
Shade: Uncut Ruby 810
Type: Super Lustrous Creme
I don't own many red colors (unless you count burgundy), but this one is probably the only one I need. It's not as dark as I wanted it, but surprisingly, I wear it pretty often, even though bold red isn't exactly a "casual" color. It also looks really good with a brown lipliner. Looks warm in the photo, but the site describes it as a blue-red, and I would agree with that.

Brand: Revlon
Shade: Rum Raisin 535
Type: Super Lustrous Creme
Rum Raisin my beloved... The universally flattering color, praised by every desi woman and their mom. AND MINE MELTED. IN MY POCKET. I'm so upset about it. Anyways, the color seems to look completely different on everyone, but closest I can describe it as a warm pink/brown.

Brand: MAC
Shade: Spice it Up! 522
Type: Lustreglass
I didn't know the Lustreglass lipsticks were shorter than the other ones, lol. For some reason, I assumed that the shiny finishes wouldn't suit me, mostly because the website example photos are not the best. I don't know. I kind of hate them; bad lighting, weirdly smooth and edited lips, weird lip poses?? This color is like a "spicy" red, if that makes sense. Warm toned, pretty orange, maybe.

Brand: Revlon
Shade: Toast of New York 325
Type: Super Lustrous Creme
Honestly don't like this color on me. I thought I could like it, but it's not for me. It's too orange for me. I saw videos of other people wearing it, and it looked a little more brown, even a little darker, but it's kind of a medium terricotta on me.

Brand: MAC
Shade: Whirl 626
Type: Matte
Kind of gray-looking, I was expecting something more purple? I have mixed feelings I supposed. It is technically a "bold" color, right? Muted bold... contradictory? I think I can make it work with a lipliner, I just need to figure out how to style my outfit with it.
